Jurassic Quest Drive-Thru Orlando

If there’s one thing Covid has forced us to do, it’s adapt. Not only have we had to adjust to life, but businesses and entertainment have had to as well. One of the most popular ways for businesses to adapt is to do more drive-thru events. We’ve visited the Wild Florida Drive-Thru Safari earlier this year and we were excited to be invited to experience another drive-thru event with Jurassic Quest.

Jurassic Quest is located at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) and runs from January 29 – February 7. From the safety of your own car, you can take a tour of the world of dinosaurs. This fun family event is perfect for any dinosaur lover both young and old.

Disclaimer: We did receive media tickets for the experience, however our opinions are our own.

Getting There and (Not) Parking

The Jurassic Quest Drive-Thru experience is located on the south parking lot of the Orange County Convention Center. Tickets for the event are $50 per vehicle and, since it’s a drive-thru, there isn’t any parking. Even though the tickets are per car, it’s only for regular, passenger cars. Anything larger than a traditional car, truck, or SUV will have an additional charge.

The Jurassic Quest Drive-Thru Experience

It doesn’t matter if you’re a huge dino fan, or if your only exposure to our ancient lizard friends is through Jurassic Park, visiting the Jurassic Quest Drive-Thru will delight all. As you drive into the OCCC parking lot, you’ll choose between lanes one and two. The experience is mostly the same regardless of which lane you choose, the only difference is which side the dinosaurs are on. Pick lane one if you want the dinosaurs on the passenger side, and lane two to have them on the driver’s side. If you have a vehicle with a moonroof, don’t be afraid to see the experience through that.

Jurassic Quest Drive-Thru Audio Tour

As soon as you get your ticket you’ll be given a QR code to play the audio guide. You can get through the experience without the audio tour, but we highly recommend it. Throughout the audio tour, you’ll be introduced to some of the dinos and hear some fun facts about them.

The dinosaurs are grouped together by era and there are some times where you’ll have to pause the tour but don’t worry, there’ll be signs telling you when to push play again. The tour lasts through the whole experience until you exit through the drive-thru gift shop.

The Dinos

Let’s talk about the stars of the show, the dinos. Not only will you see your favorite dinosaurs like the T-Rex, Stegosaurus, and Triceratops, but you’ll also be introduced to brand-new favorites that we guarantee you’ve never heard before. Did you know there’s a connection between a dinosaur and Harry Potter? We didn’t until we visited this event. All of the dinosaurs shown are life-size so you’re definitely going to be in awe over the size of some of them. Some of the dinos are in motion, some feature fur and feathers, but all are really cool.

The Verdict

With such uncertainty about going out and participating in crowded activities, it’s great to see there are still fun, unique, and safe activities for families to do together. Visiting the Jurassic Quest Drive-Thru is not only a great way to entertain your family for an hour, but it’s a great way to support a unique activity in the time of Covid.

We definitely recommend visiting the Drive-Thru if you have dino-loving kids to fill your car with. The price point may be a little high if you are only visiting with two or three people total, but it’s still fun regardless. If you’re looking for a jaw-some time, stop by the Jurassic Quest Drive-Thru with your family.
